The XXIO 14 Fairway Wood is designed to help the recreational golfer launch the ball higher and farther with ease and a comfortable feel. This model represents an evolution toward a more forgiving and playable club off the deck or the tee. The clubface is engineered to achieve a high initial ball speed, ensuring that impact energy is efficiently converted to distance. The head shape and overall structure have been further refined to enhance stability, leading to more consistent ball striking. A key focus of this fairway wood is to improve playability, making it easier to hit successfully from various lies. It is specifically designed to provide a pleasant and high launch angle, allowing for shots with a strong, sustained trajectory. The club features the proprietary WEIGHT PLUS technology in the grip, which acts as a counterweight to help stabilize the swing and promote better rhythm and club control. New CANNON SOLE This design features a large, hollow space carved out beneath the face, which allows for increased face deflection. It also features an expanded toe and heel thickness compared to previous models, helping to achieve a lower center of gravity. Edge Cup Face The flange section of the cup face is designed with enhanced rigidity. This helps the face retain energy and creates significant deflection in the crown section, leading to improved initial ball speed. High Grip Milled Pattern A fine laser milling pattern is applied to the toe and heel areas of the face. This is intended to suppress slippage and provide a gear effect even on off-center shots or in wet conditions. ActivWing By positioning the steps higher and closer to the club head's edge, this aerodynamic feature improves stability. This design helps achieve stable impact conditions during the swing. The expanded toe and heel thickness of the CANNON SOLE helps maintain a high MOI (Moment of Inertia) while achieving a low center of gravity, which contributes to stable shots.
