Built 4 Speed • Personal Jesus CD This fantastic four-track CD-EP from German rockin' psychobilly four-piece Built 4 Speed comes stomping out of the speakers with a hard-driving take on Personal Jesus, the Johnny Cash favourite originally written by Depeche Mode's Martin Gore. Three Built 4 Speed originals complete a compact and highly enjoyable blast of rockabilly energy. Personal Jesus is the standout, delivered with slapping double bass, powerful guitar and a driving rhythm that transforms the familiar song into a superb rockin' psychobilly number. The three originals, Time, Psychotic Waltz and Sun, show that the band have plenty of their own character and aren't simply relying on the cover. If you like your rockabilly with a darker, tougher edge, this little CD-EP is well worth picking up. Four punchy tracks, a great cover and plenty of attitude make Personal Jesus an excellent addition to any psychobilly or modern rockabilly collection. Tracklist 1. Personal Jesus 2. Time 3.
