Rose á Lies is a beautiful Petillant Naturel Rosé from Lise and Bertrand Jousset in Montlouis-sur-Loire. Made from 40 year-old organic Gamay and Grolleau vines grown on sand and silex soils over limestone. Fermented in used barriques, the wine is bottled at 15 grams of sugar and finishes at less than 5 grams. The wine has toasty aromas of red currant and raspberry with creamy red fruits on the palate balanced with bracing acidity. The finish is clean, refreshing and long - a perfect Pet Nat for any special or everyday occasion! Lise and Bertrand have farmed their 11 hectares in Montlouis sur Loire et Touraine since 2003 with the same philosophy: "Whether alone or as a table companion, wine is meant to be shared and consumed. It is up to us, as vignerions to craft a wine for every occasion." The Jousset’s fundamental and profound respect for nature led them to exclude herbicides and pesticides in favor of the balance that biological diversity promises down to the microscopic level. They believe that to make an original wine it is necessary to have living soils with high microbial activity, a “living” vine, and a balanced life between plants and animals in all of the domain’s parcels *Natural and Organic Staff Review: A husband and wife duo making nothing but natural wines on their vineyard in Loire, France. Bubbly, a bit funky and full of fresh strawberry and watermelon notes. Enjoy! Staff Review: Wow! This wine is so fun. If you’re a fan of sour beers, this naturally fermented sparkling wine is for you. Perfect for sipping all summer long!
