[We have new brushes in stock, handcrafted by Thomas Osborne, that perfectly recreate the Slingerland brushes used by Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, and others!] In order to recreate the Slingerland brushes and their sound that Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa have long used, maker Thomas Osborne created the ultimate vintage-sounding brushes based on his own memories and research from various drummers and audiences. The SURE-LOK model has a locking mechanism that allows for smooth use of the two wire lengths of 115mm and 135mm. This brush uses a softer, more flexible wire than most brushes currently available on the market, and is equipped with a specially textured handle that feels comfortable in the hand. The wire is one gauge thicker than the 12-gauge model, giving the brush a slightly stronger grip without sacrificing flexibility.
