The sound is max Classic reverb Holy Grail now includes plate and reverse modes The Holy Grail, with its realistic spring and hall reverb sounds, has become a classic. The Holy Gra il Max adds plate and reverse reverb sounds to the Holy Grail. Plate reverb is a type of reverb created using a huge steel plate, a fixture in high-end recording studios of the 1960s and 1970s. Its smooth, well-balanced reverberation is particularly well-suited for vocals. At its longest setting, the reverberation can last for over 30 seconds, creating a spectacular effect with overlapping reverberations. This is a key feature unique to this unit, not found on the Holy Grail or Holy Grail Plus. Reverse reverb is like a tape replay playing backwards. Following the note played, a soft reverberation gradually builds up. As its name suggests, spring reverb is the spring reverb sound found in old guitar amplifiers. The sound is so realistic that even surf rock legend Dick Dale couldn't tell it apart. Hall reverb is the reverberant sound of a concert hall or cathedral.
