Gutermann Extra Strong is a 12 weight 100% polyester thread built for seams that take a beating. A high break point and heavy construction let it cope with highly stressed seams th at ordinary all-purpose thread gives up on. Made for upholstery and furniture, denim, leather, canvas, tents, awnings, bags and outdoor gear. Equally at home as a decorative topstitching thread — the heavier weight shows a stitch line off the way a 50wt never will. Polyester, so it resists rot and mildew and has enough give to move with a seam instead of snapping. 100m (109yd) spool. Works best with a topstitch or jeans needle — 100/16 is a good starting point — and a longer stitch length. Show more
