However, in recent years, factory production has become more common, and manufacturers have released a number of models, including the Ludwig Breakbeat, Sonor Safari, and Tama Silverstar Cocktail-Jam Kit, making this size extremely popular. Evans has taken notice and added a popular model optimized for the 16" bass drum, a size that is expected to continue to grow in demand. This is for a 16-inch bass drum with a steel hoop. This bass drum head features a urethane mute sandwiched around the outer periphery of the 1000-gauge head. Choose your preferred mute from two different widths of urethane mute, and the mute is designed to be easily removed without leaving your chair, resulting in a more focused, fuller sound.
