A black box that recreates that Brown sound. Born from a powerful collaboration between MXR and Eddie! MXR / EVH5150 OVERDRIVE This compact pedal, a collaboration between MXR engin eers and Eddie Van Halen, delivers a rich yet smooth high-gain overdrive sound. While the EQ controls appear similar to those of a standard pedal, they're carefully tuned to optimize the frequency range needed to recreate Eddie's signature sound. It also features the same gate circuit as the MXR "SMART GATE," a favorite of Eddie himself. This helps maintain tight playing even at high volumes. The footswitch is true bypass. ■Dimensions: W128 x D92 x H55mm Power supply: DC9V/006P dry battery *This unit has extremely high gain characteristics, so in order to prevent destructive loud switching noise, the signal is momentarily dropped to ground to create silence, minimizing switching noise.
