JHS Pedals Charlie Brown V4. You've probably heard the Marshall JTM45 in many great performances, including classic rock and roll. The Charlie Brown V4 is an overdrive that can reproduce the tones that defined an era with a variety of amplifiers. The Charlie Brown V4 offers more flexibility without changing the heart and soul of the Charlie Brown sound. The Charlie Brown V4 features five controls: Volume, Drive, Bass, Middle, and Treble, providing an amp-like feel. The Volume knob works like a standard master volume control on an amplifier: Turn it to the right for louder, turn it to the left for quieter. The Drive control goes from around 9:00-12:00 for Hendrix's favorite tone, to around 12:00 for a beautiful, natural crunch, or all the way up for high-gain overdrive heaven. The V4's all-new 3-band EQ section is the same tone stack found in real vintage amps, allowing you to create realistic Plexi tones. The Bass, Middle, and Treble controls are all flat at the 12 o'clock position and are active equalizers that allow you to cut/boost certain bands.
