The Calf Tone series, which features the year EVANS was founded, '56, and the EVANS vintage logo as its trademark, is reminiscent of the 1950s, and is characterized by a round, warm sound that is reminiscent of vintage looks, and a deep, rich tone that envelops the ensemble. The touch and tone are both soft and rich with a mid-low calf tone, adding another dimension to your drum set. Perfect for jazz, vocals, and pops. The Calftone Tom Tom & Snare uses 7mil film (12mil for bass drum) and a unique blend of materials to maximize the characteristics of the tom, such as tuning stability in the high tones, a richer, deeper tone, and response. When natural skin is used for drum heads, the thinner sections are used for toms and the thicker sections for bass drums, and the thinner sections are used for bass drums to improve bass response. The Calftone Tom Tom & Snare uses a thinner film than the Calftone bass drum head, and the EVANS Calftone series follows the same approach. It uses EVANS' unique Level 360 technology, making it highly tunable. Finish: Calf Tone Size: 14" Tom-Tom & Snare Thickness: 7mil *The image is for illustrative purposes only. The drum body and other parts other than the head are not included.
