a universal immobilizer bypass module designed for remote start installations on vehicles equipped with factory transponder or RF-based anti-theft systems. The 556UXL temporarily bypasses the immobilizer only during remote start operation, while keeping the factory security system fully functional during normal vehicle use. Features & Benefits Universal immobilizer bypass interface Allows remote start functionality on transponder-equipped vehicles Compatible with most RF-based factory anti-theft systems Designed for larger vehicle keys that do not fit standard 556UW modules Temporarily bypasses immobilizer only during remote start operation Maintains factory anti-theft system integrity Selectable windings for improved compatibility Ideal for remote start and security system installations Reliable Directed Electronics/XpressKit design Specifications Product Type: Immobilizer Bypass Module Model: 556UXL Application: Remote start transponder bypass Compatibility: Universal RF immobilizer systems Key Requirement: Requires one programmed factory key inside module Installation Type: Hardwired Voltage: 12V DC Interface Type: RF transponder loop interface Vehicle Compatibility: Domestic, Asian, and European applications How It Works Modern vehicles equipped with immobilizer systems require a coded transponder signal from the factory key before allowing the engine to start. During remote start operation, the 556UXL temporarily transmits the proper transponder signal so the vehicle can start remotely. Once the vehicle is entered and the key is inserted normally, the factory immobilizer resumes standard operation. Key Features Larger enclosure for oversized transponder keys Compatible with many factory anti-theft systems Supports remote start installations on transponder-equipped vehicles Only active during remote start cycles Maintains OEM theft-deterrent functionality during normal driving Installation Notes Professional installation is highly recommended. The 556UXL requires one programmed factory key or transponder chip to remain inside the module permanently. Some newer vehicles may support data-style bypass modules that eliminate the need for a sacrificed key
