PST-X Splash Stack 12/10 It's no exaggeration to say that it's now a trend to set up trashy effect sounds on basic cymbals like crashes, rides, and hi-hats. Now, Paiste is taking a new step with the release of the PST-X series! The basic model of the PST-X is the Swiss model of a so-called "hole" cymbal. By drilling holes of various sizes in a special layout in cymbals of various sizes and shapes, it produces a noisy, dirty, trashy sound. The aluminum Pure Bell, which was also included in the lineup, has its own unique character and concept. Small in size, sharp and trashy in sound... The 12-inch/10-inch pair Splash Stack provides the crisp accents with short decay that drummers and percussionists are looking for these days, complementing their cymbal collections. The top is a brass cymbal with a PST-X hole pattern for a trashy sound, while the bottom is a 2002 bronze cymbal with an inverted bell reminiscent of a china splash, two inches smaller than the top, minimizing contact with the top. Its dry, crisp, and articulate sound allows for fast, rhythmic patterns. It's great as a stack cymbal, but also as a closed hat for a trashy sound.
