S1-6514W-MI [Full Range Snare Drums / Walnut with Maple Inlay 14 x 6.5] The snare drum is a special instrument that reflects the drummer's individuality. The Full Range Snare Drums lineup features a wide variety of models that pursue Gretsch's unique sound, using the know-how cultivated over many years of drum manufacturing. Gretsch's walnut snare adds a distinctive sound and look to the full-range series. The 8-ply walnut shell produces a sharp attack, but also a punchy low end at lower tunings and a richer tone at higher tunings. It also features two maple inlays around the outer periphery, giving it a distinctive finish not only in sound but also in appearance. The unique manufacturing process and the natural beauty of the walnut wood are accentuated with a gloss finish, creating a unique boutique atmosphere.
