// D'Addario Woodwinds VENN for Alto Sax // Warm tone and playability reminiscent of natural cane. Developed by D'Addario's talented engineers, the VENN reed heralds a new era in w oodwind instruments. The VENN reed offers the same rich tone and playing feel as a natural cane reed, while retaining the stability, longevity, durability, and uniformity of resin reeds. To get as close as possible to the material and properties of cane, we thoroughly re-analyzed cane and layered it with polymer fibers of various strengths, adding resin and cane particles to create reed blanks. The result is a superior reed that sounds and feels like cane, but lasts longer than cane reeds. ■Relaunch on May 25, 2022! The specifications have been upgraded to provide a playing feel closer to that of a cane reed. - The film on the back of the lead has disappeared. - The coating on the reed surface has been further strengthened. - Strength has been improved (approximately equivalent to cane reed).■Hardness: 3.0+ *Variations: 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 / 3.0+ / 3.5 / 4.0 Show more
