This sound at this price, this lacquer finish at this price, this made in Japan. YAIBA II Snare Drum This snare drum is from the YAIBA series, which has already been praised by art ists around the world, including Kenny Washington and Tutty Moreno, who say it has a "high-end sound!" We have reviewed the shell construction, parts, and manufacturing process, and by adopting a forced-curing lacquer (UV) that is also used by other companies in their high-end models as the exclusive finish for the Blade II, rather than nitrocellulose lacquer, which is the most time-consuming and costly method, we have achieved significant reductions in manufacturing time and costs. The YAIBA series is made in Japan and offers amazing cost performance, making it a drum that in some ways is "worth the price." While retaining the rich overtones characteristic of maple, the heavy Yaiba die-cast lugs provide a solid, core-like sound image.
