In collaboration with UK tech-metal giants Architects, Fortin proudly presents Tempest! Tempest Overdrive was created in collaboration with Architects legends Adam Christianson and Josh Middleton with a simple goal: to create an ultra-versatile overdrive/boost solution that could be used in the studio or live. The Tempest is designed as a high-output overdrive pedal, perfectly pushing any amp to create the brutal, precise tone they're known for. For ultra-tight rhythm tones, turn up the level and lower the gain, or for lead playing, turn up the gain and your sustain will rumble like never before. Controlling the Tempest couldn't be easier. There are standard Drive and Level controls, as well as High and Low Pass controls, which are not your typical tone controls and are specifically positioned to allow the pedal to affect your tone even at extreme settings. ■Control BYPASS: True bypass footswitch LEVEL: Adjusts the output of the pedal. The higher you turn it, the louder the signal will be, pushing harder into your amp's input. GAIN: Adjusts the amount of gain (overdrive). The beginning of the sweep is pretty clean, and you can hear the gain increase after about 11 o'clock. LOW: Cuts the low end output from the pedal. HIGH: Cuts the amount of high end coming out of the pedal.Power: DC 9V center pin negative external adapter/power supply only.
