The OCD is a very open-sounding overdrive/distortion circuit that differs from typical overdrives in that it uses a MOSFET for clipping, with the clipping point connected to the circuit's voltage reference (VREF) rather than ground. The result is a more interactive sound, whether you're picking softly or hard, compared to traditional diode-to-ground clipping overdrives. The OCD offers touch sensitivity, nuance, and complex harmonic overtones while preserving the inherent tone of the amp and guitar you're playing. Because of its enormous output, the OCD is ideal as an overdrive pedal in front of an amp or through a master volume amp, driving it much harder than other ODs. However, it also excels at creating unique distortion with the complex harmonic array of a Class A amp. Another great feature is that you can access sounds in between by simply turning down your guitar's volume control.Licensed by Jackson Audio.
