[Used Jack DeJohnette Signature Hi-Hat, Master of Jazz Drums, Now in Stock!] "I wanted something very dark and very dry. That's the perfect sound for me. Sabian has given me cymbal s that will inspire me musically in any style, from jazz to heavy metal." By Jack DeJohnette This was the first Jack DeJohnette signature model, produced from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. To achieve the extremely dry and tight sound he was looking for at the time, the cymbals are heavy in weight and finished without lathing or hammering. It produces a very clear stick texture and tick sound without any unnecessary overtones or impurities. The ample weight allows for a solid and powerful sound.
