[Made in USA! Used Pork Pie snare drum now in stock!] [Pork Pie Percussion] Pork Pie Percussion is a Los Angeles-based custom drum manufacturer founded in 1987. The bright and open sound is typical of American drums, and we've put particular emphasis on the edge and bed processing. Each drum is carefully crafted by a skilled craftsman, and its greatest feature is the natural sound that is characteristic of a real drum. The flagship model, 8-ply maple, has a dry, expansive sound that is very characteristic of maple, as well as moderate mid-low tones, and also has delicate response and bright high frequencies. This model picks up microphones very well for recording, making it suitable for studio work.
