Since its launch in 1987, Ibanez has continued to produce SR -Soundgear- basses that alway s keep up with the times by incorporating the voices of numerous bassists and trends in music and fashion. SR's identity, which has remained unchanged since its inception, is that of an electric bass with a compact body that fits the body, a slim neck, and a wide range of sounds. While maintaining the precision, high performance, and excellent playability that we have always pursued, we are renewing the SR model of our high-end, Made in Japan Prestige series as a bass guitar for professionals that has been completely reexamined in terms of sound, tone, and their versatility.
