[Used Paiste Traditionals Series Light Ride 20-inch bike now in stock!] From the 1940s to the 1960s, jazz, blues, big band, bebop... This period, known as the Golden Age of Jazz, p roduced many historic masterpieces. At Paiste, we have focused on the cymbal sound of this era and embarked on a project to faithfully recreate the cymbal sound of that time, which is now lost. Starting with historical research by many drummers who love vintage sounds, and then repeated detailed testing of prototypes... This is how the Traditional Series was born. The Traditional Series is meticulously handcrafted to offer an unparalleled wide range of sound and diverse expressiveness, and is dedicated to musicians who love the traditional cymbal sound. While the overall sound is dark and complex, the ping sound has the transparent high range that is characteristic of Paiste. The dark, smoky, and sizzling overtones and clear tip sound create expressive stickwork and feeling without sacrificing any flair.
