The Salen incorporates most of the features of the original Boden design, adding an unm istakable tip of the cap to the classic solid-body design that has stood strong for nearly 70 years, making it a new modern classic with the successful NX update to the Boden line. A perfect blend of retro classic and cutting-edge innovation, the Salen is both approachable and unashamedly forward-thinking. Classic tonewoods and construction techniques are blended with modern design and cutting-edge features to create a seamless whole. The Salen NX sparked a musical revolution that continues to this day, and we sought to take that inspiration to a new level in looks, functionality, ergonomics, sound, and playability. With a lightweight headless design, multi-scale funnel frets, patented EndurNeck, and aerospace-grade hardware, it combines all the hallmarks of a Strandberg guitar with a look and sound that evokes a glorious era of guitar-driven music, from classic rock to pop, country, and jazz. The Salen NX Jazz takes a completely new direction visually and sonically, featuring a chambered mahogany body with a solid maple top, a mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, F-holes, and Suhr Thornbucker and Thornbucker II humbuckers.
