The names of cymbals such as hi-hat, ride, and crash were also named after the A-Zildjian cymbal and continue to be used to this day. The history of contemporary drumming is right here. This is a flat-top ride that appears to have been manufactured in the 1960s. The Flat Ride's bellless design keeps the volume low and the ping clean, and it offers excellent sticking control, making it particularly useful for acoustic music and accompanying solo parts. In recent years, it has been adopted as a new legato variation in a variety of music genres, from R&B, Hip Hop, and pop to digital music. This appears to be a well-weighted instrument, with a medium pitch, clear stick sound, and a brilliant harmonic sustain.
