The TS-9 Tube Screamer is an overdrive pedal that began production in 1981 and was released in 1982 as the successor to the TS-808. It goes without saying that it is still in produ ction today and has served as the sound model for numerous overdrive pedals. Based on the specifications of the internal parts and the dating, we believe this is a white label model produced around 1983. There are some dents and paint chips on the case, but it is in fairly good condition. The op-amp IC is the glossy JRC4558D. Compared to the op-amps used around the same time, such as the JRC2043DD and TA75558P, it has a rich low midrange, crisp treble, and a pleasant overdrive feel with a rich harmonic range.
