The TS-9 Tube Screamer is an overdrive pedal that began production in 1981 and was released in 1982 as the successor to the TS-808. It goes without saying that it is still in produ ction today and has served as the sound model for numerous overdrive pedals. Based on the specifications of the internal parts and the dating, we believe this is a white label model produced around 1983. There are some dents and other scratches on the case, but considering the model year, it is in fairly good condition. The op-amp IC is the TA75558P. Compared to the earlier op-amps, the JRC2043DD and JRC4558D, the low-mids are boosted, while the overall tone is well-balanced. The response and high resolution characteristic of the vintage TS-9 are still intact.
