[We have a rare used REMO snare drum in stock!] -Advanced Acousticon Snare Drum- The shell material used is "Acousticon," a fiber-based shell material developed by REMO made from w ood chips solidified with resin, and is still used in various REMO world percussion products today. Multiple layers of 100% recycled wood fiber are laminated under pressure to form a single tubular structure. The drum shells are impregnated with a special resin to keep out moisture and have a special "Acousticon" coating on the inside of the shell for optimal tone, acoustic properties and high stability. It produces a solid, dry, and extremely stable sound, which is characteristic of fiber shells. It has sufficient volume and is powerful, yet the sound is well-balanced and easy to control. With a wide tuning range, it can create a variety of sounds, from a high-pitched, crisp, funky character to a dead-tuned, digital sound. It's perfect as your main snare drum.
