Guyatone (Tokyo Sound) spearheaded the electric guitar boom of the 1960s. It's an absolutely essential brand that cannot be ignored when discussing Japanese-made electric guitars and basses. This time we have the "LG-1200 Sharp 5" in stock. It's a popular model that was re-released in the 1980s. 【body】 The guitar weighs approximately 3.95kg. Its distinctive offset body with its long, extended horns faithfully reproduces the classic Sharp 5. The body color is white, which appears to be an unlisted color. The body material has been changed from sen wood (Japanese ash) to alder. There are overall scratches and dents, traces of a relocated endpin, and stains. Additionally, the hardware, including the bridge, tremolo, tuners, and control knobs, has been stained gold, and some of this stain is also present on the pickguard and body. The screws holding the pickguard and pickups have been replaced by our shop. 【neck】 The neck is made of maple with an ebony fingerboard. It features a set-neck joint with a heel-less cutaway at the joint, allowing for smooth playability up to the high frets. There are some scratches, dents, and discoloration around the neck, similar to the body. The frets and nut show wear, and there are some dents mainly in the lower frets, but there is no extreme buzzing or dead spots, and the playability is relatively good. The nut width is approximately 42.8mm. The neck has a rounded, sleek shape, and combined with the aforementioned heel-less design, it has a better grip than the numbers suggest. [Electrical System] The controls consist of [1 volume / 1 tone / 3-way pickup selector switch / 3-way center pickup selector switch]. The pickups are three single-coil pickups equipped with metal parts to enhance magnetic force, and the combination of the pickup selector switch and the center pickup switch allows for switching between 7 different sounds, giving it a surprising versatility that you wouldn't expect from its appearance.
