Crafted from 100% North American hard rock maple, and featuring DW's unique shell construction and drum hardware, these drums offer high reliability and sound quality. -North American Maple Shell- All shells in the Performance Series utilize dw's proprietary HVX technology, which uses 100% maple plywood with wood grain arranged in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal patterns to achieve a low, powerful fundamental tone. -HVX Shell- This drum features a completely new shell technology developed jointly by John Good and the dw Custom Shell Shop in California. Combining the latest wood grain orientation technology with carefully selected North American hard rock maple, the unique HVX shell delivers a punchy low-end, rich resonance, and excellent sound projection, making it ideal for live performances. -Bearing Edge- The snare drum is precisely cut with a 60-degree edge, resulting in a deep and punchy sound. -MAG throw-off- The MAG Throw-Off allows for smooth and easy adjustment thanks to its built-in magnet and horizontal tension adjustment function. It eliminates any looseness or slackness during performance. -True-Pitch 30 Tuning Rods- By using a finer pitch than typical tension rods, it allows for more precise tuning.
