Ibanez, a world-renowned guitar brand, has a long history, beginning in the 1930s when it started manufacturing its own Spanish guitars. From the 1950s onwards, it mainly manufactured and exported electric guitars, but around 1979, it made a triumphant return to the Japanese market. Since then, it has grown into a global brand that leads the music scene both domestically and internationally. This is a Roadstar II series "RS-520," a unit that shows signs of having been through many battles. 【body】 The guitar weighs approximately 3.65kg. The birch/basswood body, black finish, and gold hardware give it a rich and stylish look. However, there are noticeable scratches and dents throughout, including a large dent on the side of the body, buckle scratches on the back of the body, and scratches on the headstock. One of the intonation blocks (the part that secures the saddle to the unit) on the Pro Rock'r Tremolo was broken and has been replaced by our shop. The screws securing the 5th and 6th strings have also been replaced. The back panel and tremolo arm are missing. 【neck】 The neck is made of one piece of maple with a rosewood fingerboard. There is some noticeable damage on the back of the neck near the 3rd and 9th frets. The tuners are the original Smooth Tuner Mini II, and they function well with fairly consistent winding. The frets and nut show some wear, and there are some dents in the lower frets, but there is no extreme buzzing or dead spots, and playability is good. The nut width is approximately 42.8mm. It features a sleek neck shape typical of rock guitars. [Electrical System] The controls consist of two volume pots, one tone pot, and a 3-way pickup selector switch. Each volume pot is a push/push type, and it features a duo sound (coil tap) function. The pickups are IBZ humbuckers, known for their powerful and clear tone, and the simple configuration offers a wide range of sound variations.
