Purchased from Amigo Guitar Show. A highly original and excellent specimen! This is a 1973 Jazz Bass with a four-bolt neck joint, original natural finish on ash/maple, and black block binding. It features two original 1973 pickups, all three potentiometers are marked "137 7310," and the neck end is stamped "7 MAR 73 B," but the nut width is approximately 38.4mm. Despite being from the 70s, there are no noticeable gaps in the neck pocket, the pickup routing is clean, and the string height can be lowered reasonably well without shims, resulting in good playability. The nuts have been replaced with bone nuts, and the screws also appear to have been replaced, but everything else seems to be original. There was a fret buzz in one spot, so we have leveled it at our WSR facility, and the playability is now excellent. The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod, tuning pegs, etc., are all functioning properly. The punchy sound of the white ash is definitely something you'd expect from the 70s. It's relatively lightweight and easy to handle. The damage isn't too severe, and the natural finish, which isn't over-tanned, looks great. Considering the wide variation between individual pieces in the 70s, this could be considered a particularly good example. Hurry! Weight: ≈4.82 kg General-purpose hard case
