Tubedreamer has evolved even further! Introducing the Tubedreamer mk.2, featuring a no-diode clipping mode and an added high-gain stage switch! When we launched the Tubedreamer in 2006, our goal was to create the best 808-style overdrive. We achieved that at the time, and with the mk.2, we further pursued that performance. The Tubedreamer mk.2 delivers a warm, rich, and clear overdrive sound. The midrange is meticulously tuned, ensuring that it doesn't sound crowded or harsh, but instead maintains a strong presence within the mix. Improved resolution at low gain allows for more nuanced control in the most important areas, enabling a wide range of practical tones even at lower settings. At the heart of this device is the legendary JRC4558D chip, just like in the most popular vintage models. The 3-diode asymmetric clipping circuit enhances touch sensitivity, allowing for a natural response to picking dynamics and fret nuances. The new "No-Diode Clipping Mode" in mk.2 eliminates diode clipping, improving headroom and clarity, resulting in a more open, dynamic, and amp-like response. For the first time, the Tubedreamer has evolved into a true live tool, now featuring a dedicated footswitch to activate the high-gain stage. The two built-in trimmers allow you to adjust the high-gain stage in each clipping mode. The output levels can be adjusted individually, allowing for fine-tuning and boosting of the tone. The operating mode upon power-on can be selected, allowing you to choose whether the pedal turns on or remains bypassed upon startup.■Control Level Controls the output level.
