This necessitates a high degree of freedom in setup, accommodating the player's imagination. It is in this context that we focused on the remote hi-hat, which enhances the flexibility of hi-hat setup. With this new remote hi-hat, what we pursued was incredibly smooth movement and high expressiveness comparable to high-end hi-hat stands, along with high-precision operability. Furthermore, we aimed for high flexibility to maintain these features even in complex setups where the cable might bend. To achieve both, we meticulously focused on the performance of the cable connecting the footboard and the hi-hat. First, the cable developed exclusively for TAMA with the full cooperation of JAGWIRE, one of the world's leading manufacturers of mountain bike brake cables, utilizes stainless steel wire boasting proven high strength, as demonstrated in demanding mountain bike races. Furthermore, by protecting this stainless steel wire with a three-layer structure, durability is ensured that smooth movement is not compromised even in complex settings where the cable is bent. This achieves overwhelmingly smooth operation and setting flexibility that was not possible with existing cable hats. Breaking free from the fixed idea that "the hi-hat cymbal rests on the left foot," this new remote hi-hat offers endless setting options.
