The legendary 000-42 was used by Eric Clapton on the 1992 MTV Unplugged show! It has been renewed and is now available! The coveted 40 series Martin is beautifully crafted with hig h-grade, carefully selected wood and gorgeous decorations! The shallow 000 (triple-O) body and 632.5mm scale length, which is shorter and has a softer tension than a dreadnought, make it easy to hold and boast outstanding playability. The newly adopted GE bracing provides excellent response even with a light touch, producing a high-quality, clear sound! The beautiful overtones are breathtaking... The headstock features a gorgeous vertical abalone logo, and the fingerboard features stylish snowflake position markers that shine beautifully. Enjoy the beautiful sound that only a 40 series Martin can produce. -Evolution of the 2025 model- In 2025, the 000-42 has evolved even further. By incorporating the same construction as the original vintage 000-42, it delivers richer resonance and sustain. While retaining the legendary sound of the 000-42, it has been reborn as a more refined guitar that meets the needs of today's players and music scene. The most significant improvements are the changes to the bracing, which is key to the tone of an acoustic guitar, and the neck shape, which directly affects playability. The bracing style has been changed to the Golden Gill Shape GE-Scalloped X, which is used in the popular Modern Deluxe series, resulting in a fuller, more breathy tone and longer sustain. The neck shape has been changed to the GE Modified Low Oval, which adds a vintage feel while minimizing the increase in mass. Furthermore, the fingerboard features a thin, smoothly chamfered Comfort Edge, and the string spacing at the nut has been improved for even better playability. The key point is that, unlike the Authentic Series, which pursued vintage specifications, these guitars have been improved to become a modern, easy-to-use standard. Rather than simply returning to vintage, they pursued "easy-to-use, good sound" for the modern music scene, resulting in significant improvements in both sound and playability. The new 000-42 Standard, which pursues tradition and innovation, will be your partner in maximizing the joy of playing music.Model: 000-42 (2025) Top Material:Spruce Back Material:East Indian Rosewood Side Material:East Indian Rosewood Bracing Pattern: X Brace Brace Shape: GE-Scalloped Brace Material:Spruce Neck Material:Genuine Mahogany Neck Shape:GE Modified Low Oval Neck Taper: High Performance Taper Nut Material:Bone Fingerboard Material: Ebony Scale Length: 24.9 (632 mm) Fingerboard Width at Nut:1 3/4''(44.45mm) Bridge Material: Ebony Bridge Style:GE Modern Belly- Drop in Saddle Headstock Shape:Solid with Square Taper and Diamond Headplate Material:East Indian Rosewood Binding: Antique White Rosette:Abalone with Multi-Stripe Top Inlay Material:Abalone with Multi-Stripe Fingerboard Inlay Style:Style 45 Snowflake Top Finish: Gloss Top Color: Aging Toner Back and Side Finish: Gloss Back and Sides Color: Natural Neck Color: Dark Mahogany Tuning Machines:Gold Open Gear Pickguard: Faux Tortoise Case: Hardshell Electronics: None Show more
