Are you familiar with Led Zeppelin's legendary 1970 concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London? The Catalinbread RAH is an overdrive pedal that recreates the explosive guitar sound of Jimmy Page that filled concert halls. For this live performance, Jimmy Page used a modified HIWATT head amp for increased distortion and a Marshall cabinet. The result was a highly harmonious sound with a wide dynamic range and headroom. Catalinbread began developing a new circuit to achieve this unique overdrive sound in a small pedal. Similar to Jimmy Page's setup, we started with the Catalinbread WIIO overdrive pedal and combined it with elements from Dirty Little Secret to achieve a clear sound with wide dynamics and a response that feels like you're plugging it directly into an amplifier. Once you've plugged in the RAH, all you have to do is control all the nuances with the guitar's volume and tone controls and strum your guitar to your heart's content!
