When combined with reinforced hoops, it can produce a more focused sound, making it suitable for live and studio use. - Standard Shell - Featuring a standard wood grain orientation, the seven-ply shell with reinforced hoops incorporates 1/36-inch plies, resulting in a resonant yet focused sound. -Woods- DW provides the finest woods, carefully selected from around the world, for drum making. -Bearing Edge- The Collector's Series shells are precisely cut with 45-degree (toms) and 60-degree (bass and snare) bearing edges.
