[Used item] The PS-2, which delivers a true tube sound that was lost with conventional volume control using attenuators or dummy loads thanks to its reactive load and tube power am plifier, has evolved into the PS-100 with increased power to 100W and even more features. Conventional attenuators and dummy loads, which have a constant load resistance to the amplifier, hinder the natural interaction between the amplifier and speaker, causing the amplifier's inherent warm tonal nuances to be lost. However, the PS-100's reactive load changes its impedance with respect to frequency in real time along the same curve as the speaker unit, allowing for free volume control without compromising the unique sound and feel of vacuum tubes. This makes it possible not only to reduce the volume of high-output amplifiers but also to boost small amplifiers to a level suitable for stage use. The PS-100 now features two sets of EQ controls, both of which can be switched on and off via a footswitch. Combined with its newly achieved 100W output, the PS-100 consistently maximizes the performance of tube amplifiers at any output level.
