// buzz Nickel Silver Sccessories for Saxophone // While saxophone screws are generally made of brass, replacing the screws that secure the ring (brace) connecting the bell and the second joint with nickel silver screws can improve the overall vibration efficiency of the saxophone without compromising the pure resonance inherent in the bell. These are important parts that have a significant impact on the tone's definition, harmonics, and resonance. *What is nickel silver? Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, and has long been used as a material for brass instruments and saxophones due to its workability and tone. Nickel silver is a material made by mixing nickel with brass, and because it combines the characteristics of nickel, such as hardness and corrosion resistance, with brass, it has long been used for some saxophone parts that require strength. In recent years, it has also begun to be used as a material for saxophone bodies, and its unique sound is creating a new direction for saxophones. ■We received a comment from Tatsuya Sato! "Each and every neck screw, lyre screw, and support ring screw from [buzz] are meticulously crafted, significantly improving the saxophone's resonance and playability. The nickel silver material, also used in flutes and some high-end saxophones, likely contributes to the rich overtones. I use them myself and highly recommend them!" ■Compatible Yamaha model: Selmer Mark VI *After replacement, the mounting angle of the bell may change, which may cause the bass keys to not close properly. The price of the product does not include the cost of adjusting the bass keys, so please contact us separately if you experience any problems. Show more
