See the color change for yourself — both photos on this page are the same pair of earrings, shot under different light. ✨ Experience the unique magic of the VooDooStone™ — the trademarked color-changing gem found only at David's Antiques & Jewelry in New Orleans. A matched pair of emerald-cut VooDooStones — the long rectangular step cut — set as clean, modern studs. The VooDooStone sees light differently than the human eye and shifts instantly between three colors: a purplish-pink in daylight, a golden amber under warm incandescent light, and a vivid peridot green under fluorescent light. Each rectangular emerald-cut VooDooStone is held by four slim prongs, one at each corner, on a .925 sterling silver post with a butterfly back. The broad, open step-cut facets act like windows into the stone, so the color shift from purplish-pink to golden amber to peridot green moves across the whole surface at once rather than sparkling in points. Understated and architectural — a pair that dresses up a plain outfit without competing with a necklace. Part of David's VooDooStone Collection — the bestselling line at our French Quarter storefront on Royal Street, and a one-of-a-kind NOLA souvenir you can wear every day.
