From a wonderful supplier of organic fabrics, this 100% organic cotton ribbed doubleknit is soft yet quite substantial. It has alternating rib stitches running vertically on the fa ce (.75" repeat) with a more plain stitch on the reverse and a lovely fringed selvage. Produced in Turkey for the Danish company Mind the Maker, the fabric is Oeko-Tex and GOTS certified, assuring organic fibers and non-toxic chemicals and dyes. It is a heavy and opaque sweater weight with about 10% stretch in both directions (although it's quite stable). It has firmness in the drape, a matte finish, and the color is green olive (PANTONE 16-0213 is close) with a matte finish.
