VEGFR1, also called Flt-1, is a 180 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein in the class III subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). Human VEGFR1 ECD shares 78%, 78%, 84%, 87% , and 90% aa sequence identity with mouse, rat, porcine, canine and equine VEGFR1, respectively. VEGFR1 is up regulated during hypoxia, and participates in neovascularization and wound healing. VEGFR1 engagement on monocyte/macrophage lineage cells enhances their migration, and release of growth factors and cytokines. Lymphangiogenesis, angiogenesis, and growth-promoting effects of VEGFR1 are thought to result from enhanced migration of macrophages from the bone marrow to tumors and tissues where they recruit endothelial progenitors. It contains Ser27-Asn756. Source The protein has a predicted MW of 85.1 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 100-120 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result. Physical Appearance Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Purity > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE Endotoxin < 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method. Formulation Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization. Reconstitution Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100μg/mL is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Storage The products are shipped with ice pack and can be stored at -20℃ for 1 year. 2-7 days, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.3 -6 months, -20 to -80°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
