Interleukin 3 is a pleiotropic cytokine produced primarily by activated T cells or mast cells. IL3 stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of hemopoietic cells including the pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells as well as various lineagecommitted cells. The biological effects of IL3 on the various cell types are mediated by the binding of IL3 to specific cell surface receptor complexes. The functional highaffinity human IL3 receptor is a heterodimer consisting of a ligand binding alpha subunit and the beta subunit. The alpha subunit alone binds IL3 with low affinity. Specifications Synonyms CD123; IL-3R subunit alpha; IL3R; IL3RA; IL-3Ra; IL3RAY; IL3RX; IL3RY; MGC34174; IL-3 R alpha Uniprot No. P26951-1 Source Recombinant Biotinylated Human IL-3 R alpha/CD123 Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminal. It contains Thr19-Arg305. Molecular Weight The protein has a predicted MW of 35.99 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 55-65 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result. Physical Appearance Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Purity > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC Endotoxin < 1.0 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method. Formulation Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 8% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization. Reconstitution Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Storage The products are shipped with ice pack and can be stored at -20℃ for 1 year. 2-7 days, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.3 -6 months, -20 to -80°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
