PDGF is a major serum mitogen that can exist as a homo or hetero-dimeric protein consisting of disulfide-linked PDGF-A and PDGF-B chains. The PDGF-AA,PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB isoforms have been shown to bind to two distinct cell surface PDGF receptors with different affinities. Where as PDGF R alpha binds all three PDGF isoforms with high affinity, PDGF R beta binds PDGF-BB only with high-affinity. Product and properties Synonyms JTK12; PDGF R beta; PDGFR; PDGFR1; PDGFRB; CD140B; PDGFR-2; PDGFR-β; PDGF R β Uniprot No. P09619 Source Recombinant Human PDGF R beta/CD140b Protein is expressed from HEK293 with hFci tag at the C-terminal. Met1-Lys530. Molecular Weight The reduced monomer has a predicted molecular mass of 83.2 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 117 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Purity > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. Activity 1.Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA.2.Immobilized mouse PDGF-B at 10μg/mL (100μL/well) can bind rat PDGFRB-Fc, the EC50 of rat PDGFRB-Fc is 0.02-0.2 μg/mL. Endotoxin
