The COSTUMAKERS Denim Closed End Zipper in Navy, 15 cm (6"), is built for jeans, trousers, and other medium-weight garments that benefit from a durable, non-separating closure. It features #5 silver metal teeth for added strength and a stable bite through layers typical of denim and twill. The medium-weight construction resists wear at stress points like the fly or pocket area while remaining smooth to operate when properly installed. For consistent results, interface the zipper area, mark fold lines and topstitch guides, and baste before the final pass. Stitch with a zipper foot and keep the needle close to the teeth without contact so the slider runs cleanly. Press with care, using a cloth around the metal components to protect the fabric and avoid imprinting. The closed-end design is appropriate for applications that terminate at a seam or waistband; it prevents the pull from travelling off the tape during use. The Navy tape helps the closure blend with common denim palettes, and pairs well with either tonal or classic contrast topstitching. Maintain according to the garment fabric’s care instructions for long-lasting performance. Show more
