Handcrafted Quality: Rattan reed handwoven over a solid wood bottom, with a wrapped hardwood rim and a leather loop handle riveted through the weave at each end, by an Old Order Amish family on the Iowa-Missouri border, and signed by the weaver who made it. The Sliced-Loaf Size: 13 x 7 inches at the rim and 3 1/2 inches tall: a loaf sliced on the board, a dozen rolls, or the baguette cut in thirds, carried to the table by the handles. A Flat Wood Floor: The solid wood bottom keeps the basket flat and steady, so it works as well for the tea things or the napkins as it does for bread. Measures: 13" x 7" x 3 1/2" tall. Contents not included. Three Trim Colors: Choose Plain, Wine & Blue, or Wine & Green. The color is woven in as dyed reed, not painted on, and on the plain finish the stain takes to each piece of wood in its own way. Optional Extras: A hand-sewn cotton liner made for this basket, protective feet and an engraved solid brass plate are each optional and sold right on this page. The basket ships open and unlined and is complete without them. American Heritage: Handwoven in the USA and signed by the Amish weaver who made it. Backed by our lifetime guarantee, with free shipping and no-questions returns on every order. "I like the solid wood bottom." Elizabeth wrote in 2023, after buying two more. Erin ordered "two of these each with a cloth liner. I actually use them to display my tea for guests and they are the perfect size"; Rebecca found it "perfect size for bread, rolls, or napkins." The liner is sewn for this basket and washes by machine; Amrett wrote that the "Beautiful Fabric Liner enhances and protects the gorgeous bread basket." It is sold on this page as a paid option and can be added any time after the basket arrives. For bread under a lid, the round basket takes one. Mary keeps hers in the bathroom "to hold washcloths and TP." The sizes are the outside of the rim. For six rolls, the Dinner Roll Basket at 10 1/2 x 7 is the smaller one; for a cloth napkin as the liner, the Square Woven Bread Basket; for warm rolls, the bread warming baskets page. The rest of the family is on the bread baskets page. An Old Order Amish family weaves it by hand on the Iowa-Missouri border, in the same community as the rest of our kitchen baskets, and the weaver signs the bottom before it leaves the farm. Standard shipping is free, and rush delivery is offered at checkout when a birthday or Christmas is close. It ships gift-ready, with no prices in the box, a free gift note at checkout, and a short letter about the family who wove it. Like every basket we sell, it carries our lifetime guarantee, and returns are no questions asked. Measures: 13" x 7" x 3 1/2" tall
