Candid is a covers album by Whitney that explores the band's influences with a fresh perspective. Initially, Whitney was defined by their admiration for iconic voices and their ret ro-rock style, epitomized in their 2016 debut Light Upon the Lake and its follow-up Forever Turned Around. However, with Candid, Whitney steps into the spotlight themselves, revisiting and reinterpreting songs from a range of artists. While cover albums might not always be everyone's cup of tea, Candid is an exception that proves the rule. Whitney’s take on these tracks is as finely tuned as their originals, showing that sometimes, a cover album can be just as captivating as an original work. Show more
