Our support team provides technical expertise on a range of products and services, including: Home theater subwoofer setup and tuning with miniDSP Dirac Live® setup for miniDSP SHD and Flex series Room EQ Wizard (REW) measurement and room correction Multi-way active crossover setup Our focus is on optimizing your system for maximum performance. We tailor our consulting sessions to meet your needs, based on your system requirements and experience level. We use Zoho Assist for live, interactive system optimization. Consulting rates are $135 an hour (one hour minimum). Prerequisites At the meeting start we will email to your PC or MAC a link to join Zoho Assist, simply follow the link and allow permissions. Be sure to have certified USB 2.0 cables, not exceeding 16'. Do not use USB hubs, adapters or extenders. You'll need to have an account set up at both miniDSP and Dirac Live Download the latest versions of: miniDSP Device Console - Redeem coupon miniDSP AISO USB driver - PC only Dirac Live as required Download the free Room EQ Wizard (REW) software Deactivate and third party anti-virus software. Activity List The following is a list of typical activities that can be completed during a consulting session. It’s not necessary for you to complete all the steps prior to your session, but it is helpful to do as many as you can. During your session we can start at the beginning or anywhere in the list, depending on your specific situation. Be sure that you have all the proper USB 2.0 cables to reach the miniDSP unit as well as the microphone measurement area and your laptop or PC, which should be located in the listening area. See our Cable Selection Guide Make sure you have properly loaded all the necessary software, including the USB driver for PCs, the miniDSP Device Console and Dirac Live (if applicable). Make sure you can use the miniDSP unit as a basic preamplifier and that you are getting good system performance. Set up your subwoofer to main speaker crossovers or other crossovers as dictated by your system design. Complete a measurement and listening evaluation of the basic setup before running Dirac. Run a Dirac calibration and perform a complete Dirac project, concluding with loading the completed Dirac project file into the miniDSP unit. Finish up with final overlay parametric equalizer adjustments for tuning to preference.
