Cratebug brings a Chicago house approach to two distinctive recordings on this Bug Records 12-inch. “Bostich Pt.1” reworks Yello’s synth-pop track, using edits and rhythmic changes to reshape its electronic groove. On the reverse, “Optimo” draws on Liquid Liquid’s dance-punk percussion, bringing together snare, kick drum, cowbell and claves in repeated rolls. The pairing connects two different strands of dance music through Cratebug’s focus on rhythm and arrangement. Both versions are presented on BUG003, with “Bostich Pt.1” on side A and “Optimo” on side B.Format: 12-inch vinylLabel: Bug RecordsCatalogue number: BUG003TracklistA1. Bostich Pt.1B1. Optimo Show more
