If you've ever seen the Infamous Stringdusters on the main stage at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, then you're probably well aware Andy Falco is a monster player. His technique is precise, and his improvisations are creative and inspiring. Because the Infamous Stringdusters are pushing the bluegrass genre in new directions, Andy needs a guitar that can keep up and cut through the mix. He needs more than just good lead tone, too—with no mandolin player in the band, Andy carries a lot of the weight on the rhythm side. Fortunately, our friends at Bourgeois Guitars were able to build a Custom D that fits Andy's needs perfectly. We are proud to present the D-Falco: an impressive guitar inspired by an equally impressive player. This Bourgeois D Custom was built to the precise specs of Andy's touring guitar (without all the complex wireless electronics, of course). This dreadnought is powerful and complex, and its neck profile is comfortable and inviting, reminiscent of the profile on a good '50s D-28. Top: Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce Back: Indian Rosewood Nut Width: 1-23/32" Tuners: Waverly Relic Open-Gear Glue: Animal Protein Bracing: Aged Tone Torrefied Adirondack When you're ready for the Main Stage, too, here's a killer dreadnought that can keep up.
