DEBORAH (white oak). Acrylic paint and oil. (31 x 9.5 cm). I really love the color of this wood. It has a darker tone than most of the oak I worked with before. The tree grew in on e big garden in Prague and it was cut down as the land owner wanted to make more space for the tree that was growing just few meters away from this one. After turning Deborah was left to dry for few months which allowed her to warp. And what is my favorite feature of this bowl? Definitely the small hole in the wall. I have to admit that I don`t remember if there was a knot which fell off during drying or the hole was there already when I turned it. Either way I`m glad it`s there as it`s the first thing that catches my eye. . DEBORAH (dub). (31 x 9.5 cm). Show more
