Ecumaster Data Logger (EDL1) The Ecumaster Data Logger (EDL1) is an indispensable diagnostic tool for professional tuners and motorsport enthusiasts using the EMU Classic or EMU Black ecosystem. This compact, external logging device provides a robust solution for capturing high-fidelity engine data without the need for a laptop in the passenger seat. By utilizing serial communication, the EDL1 records every available ECU parameter—over 200 channels—ensuring you have a complete digital twin of your engine’s performance during every session. Housed in a bespoke anodised aluminium enclosure, the EDL1 is designed for the rigours of the track. It features an integrated Bluetooth module, allowing for real-time data streaming to Android devices for use as a secondary digital dash via applications like RealDash. With its on-board Real-Time Clock (RTC), every log file is precisely time-stamped, making data analysis in the Ecumaster Data Master software seamless and organized. Technical Authority & Key Features Full Channel Capturing: Records over 200 data channels at a consistent 25Hz frequency, identical to the logging capability of a PC-tethered connection. Massive Storage Capacity: Utilizes standard SDHC cards (FAT32); a 4GB card provides approximately 44 hours of continuous logging (roughly 11 hours per 1GB). Bluetooth Connectivity: Integrated class-leading Bluetooth allows for wireless, one-way communication with Android-based tablets and smartphones for live monitoring. Battery-Backed RTC: Features an internal battery-powered real-time clock to ensure all log files are accurately dated and timed, even when the vehicle power is disconnected. Compact & Rugged: Bespoke CNC-machined housing with two diagnostic LEDs to indicate device power, SD card transfer status, and Bluetooth activity. Simplified 4-Wire Install: Requires only Ground, Power (5V-20V), and RS232 RX/TX lines, making it easy to hide behind the dashboard or mount near the ECU. Automated File Management: Automatically creates new log files and daily folders every time the ECU is power-cycled, preventing data overwrite.
